Morelike Nexus None, Amirite?

NEXUS NONE LOL!!So, as a (now deleted) tweet of mine once stated, I’m “A robot, from the future, bent on hot Asian girls, hot tech, Google & industrial music. P.S. Why do I always check out chicks in high heels?”

I am very gay for Google. I use the absolute shit out of Gmail, Latitude, Maps, Feedburner, Bookmarks, Tasks, Calendar, Picasa, Notebook.. I mean seriously, Google is the fucking bomb.

Recently the blogosphere (lol) went crazy for the Google Nexus One – a phone that is available in America, shipping to Singapore, Hong Kong, London. Wheres the <3 for Australia? Nowhere. That's where.

Smarthouse (a blog I'd never heard of until some aggressive Googling - who woulda thunk "when will the Google Nexus One come to Australia" would get me somewhere?) have confirmed with Google Australia that the Nexus One isn’t coming to OZ.

Big sadface.

You can click here for a list of Nexus One’s on eBay for sale by Aussie sellers. Some may just be grey sellers claiming to be based in Aus, but it’s your best bet for getting service (both pre & post-sale.) These sellers claim the phone works on Telstra and Optus, but from what I’ve read elsewhere it wont work on Telstra 3G, just 2G and EDGE. What does that mean? Slower speeds in most instances.. and the phones main attraction is its mobile-data-centric features.. so, food for thought.

Click here for a very US-centric list (just ignore the prices) of how the Google phone stacks up against current competitors. NB: It’s a big image, and a big download! – FYI, the “Droid” is known as the “Milestone” out here in Oceania.

If you want some convincing on “going Google” let me know in the comments. I’d be happy to convert you =)

P.S. I’m still checking out the high heels all the time, has anyone got tips for NOT developing a foot fetish?

yeah, it still feels inherently wrong looking at a girls feet before looking at their face.

she’s right though, alot of males check out a woman by what she’s wearing on her feet first. heels show different things, like style, height and balance. it’s also a form of attraction though.

you’re not strange, well, not completely. >.<

i guess there is the stereotype that if a woman is wearing heels, she is doing it to attract males.. directly or indirectly.

i mean, heels cause foot pain. they arent comfortable for women, and if anything make it harder to walk around, run and react quickly to physical threats (which women have to be mindful of.)

i cant see an upside to wearing heels, other than aesthetics. but hey, as they say.. beauty is pain.

the flipside for me is, i like to present myself well (though some may argue that point) and i do it for myself, but i guess also to get checked out by chicks. in saying that though, it sounds more than a little insecure. which is ironic, considering the root of attraction for women is generally a mans confidence. first appearances always count however.

but is it even that insecure to want to present yourself well? i mean, i dont think its shows “confidence” for a woman to go sans-makeup (or insecurity for those that wear it.) i think that makeup is an important thing for a woman to wear some of the time, as it displays that they look after themselves and want to present themselves well.. and if they end up being awesome on top of presenting themselves well, thats the whole package isnt it?

say what you will about societies standards & judgements being unfair – reality is, they arent going anywhere in our lifetime.

alas, that’s true. and also depends on if a woman feels comfortable in what she wears, whether or not she has confidence and so forth.

    aren’t we digressing a little?

beauty is pain but only for women try getting a dude to wax his arse chest or back… men never suffer for beauty.

“reality is, they aren’t going anywhere in our lifetime.” thats sounds like a cop out. yeh maybe globally they won’t change but that doesn’t mean people shouldn’t try.. same goes with anything… it’s so easy to sit back and say “i’m a man/woman and that’s just the way it is so deal with it”

it’s lazy and hypocritical most of the time.. no one likes being judged by these so called “standards” yet everyone is happy to rely on them on an excuse for shitty behavior towards others.

    BLAH.

well the thing is, you can play by your own rules or you can be smart and play by SOME of societies rules and get what you want.

if you can get what you want in life by doing it your way, cool. you got lucky.

personal presentation is important.. and always will be until we evolve into floating brains or something.

i dont think it’d matter if you were “the best person in the world” – you still couldnt attract your dream mate and get your dream job if you were wearing a burlap sack, were covered in dirt and stank like shit. sure, it seemed to work for that jesus dude, but society has changed since then. a lot. we have soap, listerine, laser hair removal, spray tans, anal bleaching & silicon implants.

people are pretty much like books. you cant judge them by their cover, but unless they have an interesting title and a visually pleasing sleeve, you’re probably not going to bother to pick it up and read the synopsis, let alone book itself.

i.e. if you dont catch my eye somehow, whats going to make me inclined to open your book?

i know its a cop out, but im not here to convince people not to judge others based on their looks.. because i do it just as much as anyone else. i AM here to make people realize they need to pay me lots of money and touch my penis on demand. which is only slightly less challenging (but just as unobtainable.)

well i think you are well on your way to becoming a typical male with typical attitudes and opinions, typical vices and is typically predictable. and i’m sure you’ll find that special someone who shares those typical views but how are you going to react when she starts asking you to wax like she does? fairs fair. if your looking for perfection you should certainly put up or shut up.

i would rather live a little bit outside the box.

    each to their own.

    hey, nobody is perfect.

    just look at my ex-girlfriends..

..but seriously, just because society says something isnt ok (like being a smelly hermit, raping someone, drinking my beer, spitting gum out on to the ground) doesn’t mean it should automatically be questioned.

questioning for the sake of questioning is just mental masturbation. sure it makes you feel good, but ultimately you’re not helping anyone but yourself. (unless you record it and put it on the internet so lots of horny guys can see it, then everyone wins!)

i think this is more about ethics, in that you should question what you feel is wrong.. not just questioning something because soeciety dictates for the sake of it.

i.e. slavery/racism, that was questioned because it was bullshit, but it was the societal norm in america for a while.

plus, i like being on a tram with people who shower and use deodorant. i definitely wont question societies hygine standards.

i will question other things though, like why people are such fucktards in general, and whether or not streaming porn sites dont update their content enough, or i is it just go to them too often..

and the end of the day, society is as society does. it has it’s downfalls and imperfections, so does ever human being. those who have surgery to correct things are unhappy, want go somewhere in life, or do it just for the simple of pleasing others.

at the end of the day, we are never happy with what we see. we will have those ideas of what we could improve, change or make better. there are those negative mind sets.

but, in saying that, there are those who live on those ideas, and those who move past them, do what they can about them, or become comfortable with them.

everyone is attracted to different things. at the end of the day sweetcheeks, you and any other generic guy will not find everything attractive about some girl. he will like some things, and you will like others.

that’s one of societies downfalls, we aim to attract others, to breed, to love, to conquer.
