2 Months Without Social Networks

It’s true. I’m cutting out Facebook, MySpace, Twitter & Online Dating(!!!) websites for 2 whole months starting on 21/07/09. It’s kind of an experiment to see what will (or wont) happen in my life.
What I’m keeping:
- Email
- Flickr (for the blog)
- YouTube (for the blog)
- MSN (to message my existing peeps)
Why?
I realized I’ve been on these sites for a few years and well, they just seem like huge time wasters and social crutches. I don’t buy into the whole “meeting people over the internet isnt normal” thing, but I’ll try something different for a while. Also I wont get sucked into a 30 minute Facebook fest when I get home instead of going to the gym or avoiding some other shit I’ve been putting off. (Don’t ask me what a Facebook fest is by the way.. but i’m pretty sure its not as horny as sounds.)
What does this mean for KMFDMAN?
No more weekly Twitter digests and I’ll probably be posting to myself for 2 months. As the graph below shows, I basically get all my traffic from Facebook & Twitter. The only other source is people googling KFC Krush Bars.
What does this mean for the Dman?
Unknown. As far as I know I’m not majorly addicted to these sites, so if I notice anything weird happening (like dreams about clicking “Like” on things and adding randoms on MySpace) I’ll post it up. No more looking for strange on the intertubes though.. this will be the toughest part. Hopefully I won’t die due to a terminal case of blueballs.
What does this mean to you?

* By direct traffic I mean people typing in kmfdman.com after I beg them for 3 hours and tell them I have 2 months to live
** When I say Gay Forums that also includes shit like MySpace, posting on other blogs etc.. but mostly they’re hits from my RateMyPoo profile
